Bandaje Falls Trek — Waterfalls, Wilderness & a Weekend Well Spent with Nimma Destination by YANADAYS
Swipe away the stress and step into something real — the Bandaje Falls Trek is a 2-day escape that blends wild landscapes, misty peaks, and hidden waterfalls into one epic weekend in the Western Ghats. Curated by Nimma Destination, this journey is designed for explorers who crave fresh air, good vibes, and the thrill of the trail.
The adventure kicks off on a Friday night from Bengaluru as we ride into the green heart of Karnataka. By sunrise, we’re at our cozy homestay near Sunkasale, freshening up and fueling up for the day ahead. A rugged jeep ride leads us to the base of the Bandaje trail — where the real journey begins.
You’ll hike through forest trails and wide ridges to reach the breathtaking Bandaje Falls, where water drops off cliffs into the mist below. It’s the kind of spot that feels like it belongs in a dream — and yes, we’ll be having our packed lunch with a waterfall view.
After descending and returning to the camp, it’s time to slow down: snacks, coffee, a crackling campfire, and a hearty local dinner shared with fellow trekkers who came for more than just a hike.
The next morning is your bonus round — we take you to Kodige Falls, followed by a peaceful tea break at Kelaguru Estate and a plate of steaming neer dosa at a local food stop in Kottigehara. The final cultural touch? A soul-stirring visit to the 12th-century Chennakeshava Temple in Belur before heading back to the city.
With jeep rides, jungle trails, temple visits, and offbeat pit stops, this isn’t just a trek — it’s a handcrafted experience.
